Jim Geringer
Jim Geringer was first elected to the Wyoming Legislature in 1982, and served six years in each house before taking office as Governor of Wyoming in 1995. Governor Geringer was chairman of the Western Governors' Association and the Education Commission of the States. He also served on John Glenn's National Commission on Mathematics and Science Teaching for the 21st Century, the National Commission on Service-Learning, and on the Goals 2000 panel. He completed his second term as governor in January 2003. Jim is currently a Director at ESRI, a leader in geographic information system (GIS) software.
Jim Hodges
Jim Hodges served as the 114th governor of South Carolina. During Hodges' time as governor he fulfilled his campaign pledge to "focus like a laser beam on education." Jim Hodges served 11 years in the S.C. House of Representatives (1986-1997) where he chaired the chamber's lead law making body, the House Judiciary Committee. He also served as Minority Leader. Considered a national leader in economic development, state government budget and public education policy issues, former South Carolina Governor Jim Hodges joined Charlotte-based Kennedy Covington Lobdell & Hickman L.L.P. in 2003 as a partner. In addition, he serves as CEO and Managing Director of Hodges Consulting Group.
Billy Hamilton
Billy has extensive experience in long-range planning, budgeting, procurement and program planning; this includes development of government financial management policies, acquired through a career that includes 16 years as the Deputy Comptroller of Public Accounts for the State of Texas. In 2004, Billy worked on special assignment for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on the California Performance Review, a statewide effort to save money and improve California state government. Billy also helped to design and implement the National Performance Review, Vice President Al Gore's effort to bring government reinvention concepts to the federal level.
Jim Souby
Jim has 30 years of experience in public policy development and planning, including positions as Chief Executive of the Western Governors' Association (WGA), as President of the Park City Center for Public Policy (Center), and as Director of Alaska's Governor's Division of Policy Development and Planning. Jim is currently serving as Chief executive of the Center, a non-profit policy entity focusing on state and national policy issues, particularly those related to rapidly changing technology. As Chief Executive of WGA, Jim was accountable to 21 western governors for policy research and program activities.
